Liddell would go on to have one of the most successful title runs after beating Couture, defending his belt against the likes of Jeremy Horn, Babalu Sobral, and Tito Ortiz. Liddell seemed to have learned much since their first meeting as he made quick work of "Captain America" knocking him out in the first round of the fight. Liddell was once again given a title shot at UFC 52 this time at Couture's Undisputed Light Heavyweight title. Couture was able to beat the long time number one contender in the third round via TKO handing a young Chuck Liddell with only his second loss in his professional MMA career. Liddell was given his first title fight at UFC 43 against Randy "The Natural" Couture for his Interim Light Heavyweight belt. And he's also been responsible for bringing the UFC along with the sport of MMA to the mainstream. He's had one of the most successful title runs in UFC history as the UFC light heavyweight champion.
